SUMMARY:Workshop and Performance with Joey Abarta
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special evening of traditional Irish music with acclaimed Uilleann piper Joey Abarta.  Widely recognized for his mastery of the instrument and deep commitment to the Irish piping tradition\, Joey brings a rare blend of technical brilliance and soulful expression to the stage.  The evening will begin with a workshop at 5:30 pm\, open to pipers of all levels.  Participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from one of the leading figures in Irish piping today. \nAt 7:15PM Joey will take the stage for an intimate concert performance and solo piping in the great Irish tradition.  This event is hosted at the historic Gaelic League-Irish American Club of Detroit.  A fitting venue for an evening dedicated to the living of Irish Music. \nTickets can be purchased at the Irish Music Institute website:  irishmusicinstitute.org. \nConcert:  $20.00 \nWorkshop:  $25.00 \nConcert/Workshop:  $40.00
