From the President
2009 is off to a wonderful start
with plenty of events and on-going programs. We continue with the preservation
of our past and are building our future. I would like to express my
thanks to the Officers and volunteers of 2008 for their time and
energy. Go raibh mile maith agat!!!
I have been involved with the
club for many years and have moved through the ranks to where I can now
say, “I have held every office at the Gaelic
League there is to hold.” While
my experience will serve me well, I welcome your ideas and comments.
All will have a voice in how to maintain and grow our membership,
working together toward improving the image of the Gaelic
League within the community.
Things are shaping up for Parade
Day and St Patrick’s Day 2009. Interested in getting involved? Call
(313)964-7474 and leave us a message.
I realize that your involvement
is vital to our success and hope you will join us for the activities
going on at the club throughout the week, as well as on the weekends.
Stop by and I’ll be sure to introduce myself to you, your family and
friends.
Stay in the know by checking out
our website www.gaelicleagueofdetroit.org, and by listening every
Sunday, 1:30pm-3:00pm on WNZK -690 am.
